Accredited distance programs are a legitimate route, and for students in states with thin local coverage they are frequently the only realistic one. Online nutrition degrees are not easier. They are different, and the coursework transfers to remote delivery
well because it is reading, analysis, and case work.
The variable that decides whether an online program works is not the format. It is supervised practice. Three models
exist and they are not equivalent: the institution places you at partner sites near you, the institution helps you
secure your own placement with named support, or placement is entirely your responsibility. The third model means
competing with local campus students for the same slots with no institutional relationship behind you. Ask which
